Web16 jan. 2013 · When my fish started going missing I thought it was birds rather than cats, as I have dogs. Then one day I saw the Blue Heeler leaning over the pond. So instead of telling him off, I watched. All a sudden he lunged forward and bang, he had a gold fish. So after that I stopped getting orange or white ones and went for the speckly coloured comets. It happened to me already for the second time. 3 years ago when I just started my pond I bought pretty good koi fish, 13 of them and they seem to do well, they all survived the first winter, and were going fast, but in the fall I noticed that 4 of them were missing.
