Web5 apr 2024 · The Echo Ridge fire is now 100% contained. The fire was reported on Sunday, April 2 at 11 am. Residents were evacuated but have since returned to their homes. Responders include NMFD, Torrance County, Bernalillo County, Santa Fe County, Santa Fe City, USFS, and Mountainair. Officials from multiple agencies convened to update the public about the fight against the Cerro Pelado fire in the Jemez Mountains. More than 22,000 acres have already burned since April 22, with only 10% containment and a fire line only about six miles away from one perimeter of the national laboratory.
